Top 10 Indian Indie Webcomics & Manga You Must Read in 2026

The Indian comic scene has quietly entered a whole new era. For years, most of our conversations revolved around nostalgic childhood favorites like Nagraj, Doga, or Chacha Chaudhary. But right now, independent creators across India are writing original graphic novels, webtoons, and manga that deserve your attention.

From dark supernatural martial arts and atmospheric psychological thrillers to unfiltered street slapstick, these ten indie Indian titles are completely free to read on ZealPlane. Here is the full rundown of what makes each one worth picking up.

1. Karma (Action & Dark Fantasy)

Karma treats destiny not as passive philosophy, but as an aggressive supernatural fighting force. When dark lineages clash, the combat is fast, visceral, and grounded in tactical martial arts. If you enjoy modern dark shonen like Jujutsu Kaisen or Solo Leveling and want to see how Indian mythic concepts feel in an action-heavy manga format, this is the series to start with.

2. Ghost in the Crowd (By Prince Ayush)

Prince Ayush takes a completely different path from typical loud horror. Its minimalist grayscale art and patient pacing make it a standout indie read.

It brings back the punchy comic-strip pacing and vibrant desi neighborhood humor that made 90s humor comics so memorable.
