One Piece Chapter 1192 Chapter Breakdown: Usopp Finally Says What the Straw Hats Have Always Believed About Luffy

For years, One Piece fans have waited for Usopp to have his big moment in Elbaph. Chapter 1192 may finally give him one—but not in the way most people expected. There are certain moments in One Piece that make you remember why you started reading the series in the first place. It isn't always Luffy punching the strongest person in the room. Sometimes it is a Straw Hat standing beside him when everyone else is telling them to run.

That appears to be exactly what happens in the early chapter previews for One Piece Chapter 1192. The chapter is reportedly titled “We Will Never Forgive,” and while the battle between Luffy, Loki and Imu continues to escalate, it is a moment involving Usopp that could end up being the scene fans remember most. Early preview reports say Usopp appears on Hajrudin's shoulder and refuses the idea of abandoning Elbaph when the giants have helped the Straw Hats in the past.

And then he reportedly says something even more important:

He cares because Luffy is Luffy. That distinction could be enormous for the rest of the Final Saga.

The Fight With Imu Is Getting Completely Out of Control

Chapter 1192 reportedly begins immediately after the explosive climax of Chapter 1191. Imu is sent flying, with Luffy and Loki pursuing him. But Imu isn't simply going to allow the two of them to continue attacking without an answer.

According to current preview reports, Imu reveals a defensive ability called the Shield of Emptiness (identified as Tohu). Luffy's Gear 5 attack is stopped by the shield, and the kinetic impact is strong enough to injure Luffy's hand.

That is significant because Luffy has spent a considerable portion of this battle throwing increasingly ridiculous attacks at Imu. And Imu is still standing. There is something almost symbolic about that. Luffy represents freedom, movement, and the refusal to accept limits. Imu represents the opposite—absolute control and silence.

Usopp Refuses to Run

This is where the chapter apparently changes direction. Gaban reportedly tells Luffy that continuing to fight like this is pointless and that they should retreat. Then Usopp appears on Hajrudin's shoulder.

And instead of agreeing with the idea of retreating, he reportedly argues that they cannot simply abandon Elbaph.

Courage in One Piece has never meant being incapable of fear. It means being afraid and still deciding that something is worth fighting for.

Then Usopp Makes It Personal

The most interesting part of the current breakdown is what Usopp reportedly says about Luffy. The reports indicate that he essentially rejects the idea that the Straw Hats are following Luffy because he is Nika, Joy Boy, or someone carrying Roger's legacy.

His reason is much simpler: He is following Luffy because he is Luffy.

Gomu Gomu no Dawn Thor Bullet & Imu's Body Mystery

While Usopp is making his stand, Luffy and Loki reportedly launch a combined attack. Luffy sticks himself to Loki's hammer, allowing Loki to swing him through the air with lightning. The resulting attack is called Gomu Gomu no Dawn Thor Bullet.

Luffy breaks through the Shield of Emptiness and hits Imu hard enough for Imu's eyes to turn white. And then comes the bizarre part: Imu's stomach reportedly stretches like rubber upon impact.
