Imu is reportedly taking on an even more terrifying form. Luffy is recovering in a way that is already generating debate among fans. Hajrudin makes a desperate stand, Loki finally enters the confrontation, and the chapter ends with an unexpected alliance launching a combined attack against Imu.

Yes. After being pushed to the brink by Imu, the Straw Hat captain is apparently back in fighting condition after getting his hands on food.
On one level, this is completely consistent with One Piece. Luffy has always recovered through food, absurd endurance and his almost ridiculous physical resilience.
But the context makes this moment much more interesting. This isn't Luffy recovering after a normal battle. He has just been overwhelmed by Imu. Fans are therefore already debating what this means for Gear 5 and the nature of Luffy's powers.
One interpretation is that this is simply another exaggerated expression of Luffy's established biology and the recovery mechanics we've already seen. Another possibility is that the increasingly unusual nature of Gear 5 is allowing Luffy to recover in ways that normal humans simply cannot.
